Last 2 weeks, my sister-in-law & me is discussing about the topic of whether to have ear piercing for her baby girl. With this, it’s brought me up with telling her a secret of oldster's believes.
I did my ears piercings at Kuan Yin Temple, Penang during Kuan Yin's Birthday. That time I was about age 5 or 6, can’t remember my actual aged. I still remembered that during Kuan Yin's Birth date, there’s one uncle is providing his services on ear piercings in the temple.
According to oldster said, if you have done your ear piercing during the Kuan Yin's birthday at Kuan Yin Temple, the holes will never closed up even you not wear earrings for many years.
Well, I am the good example of that “statement” quoted by oldster. I do not know how true it is to other people but it is 100% true to me!!
I stop wearing earrings since I was in Secondary School till now. As a student, we are not allowed to wear earrings. Due to that reason, some of the students wear coconut palm frond “lidi” to avoid the holes to be closed up. But, I’m the lazy type, even that coconut palm frond also lazy to put on!! ………… I just leave it like this without wearing anything on my earlobe. However, the holes are not closed up till today!! And of today, I can just wear any type of earrings when I wanted to dress up myself!!
